Jankura Artspace’s instructed drawing workshop for April will be a lesson in charcoal portraiture.

Come learn how to capture the human face with this fun, classic medium. We’ll go over the basics of portrait drawing, so don’t worry if you’ve never taken a drawing class before.

Charcoal is a great tool to use for drawing from life as it allows you to quickly put down large images filled with shading and tones, while still being very adjustable and erasable.

We’ll be drawing from a live model which allows for a variety of different angles.

So don’t be shy! Come get your hands a little dirty while we explore charcoal!!
