Drawing 101: Charcoal 

Don’t wear white! You’re gonna get a bit dirty in this introductory workshop in charcoal handling.

You’ll have a chance to learn the tricks to producing soft smooth transitions of tone as well as strong bold images full of contrast. This is a great medium as results are instantaneous and full of depth!

CHARCOAL:
Basic drawing for anyone interested in learning or improving their skills is taught in English. We start with the basics of drawing in charcoal. Once you’ve got those skills figured out, we’ll work on our big still life challenge.

This workshop is for beginners who wish to learn or improve on basic skills, but more advanced artists are welcome to join in order to practice on the big still life we’ll have set up in the studio.
